NGC 2516

Cootamundra, NSW.

NGC 2516, a beautiful open cluster, some 50 arc minutes across in the southern constellation of Carina, the keel. Three bright orange stars make a fine contrast with the other cluster members.

Takahashi TSA-120 with a Takahashi 35 Flattener giving a focal length of f/7.35, shot taken on a hot humid night with lightning all around.
