Views along the Roding Valley

My definition of valley,incorporates the full catchment area of the River Roding.It's not the longest river system in the world,not even that in England,but it is much travelled by people passing through, going to and returning from,London.As such,it is much travelled,but I strongly suspect,little viewed,which is a great shame,as it is to me,the most beautiful,largely unspoilt valley.I hope that in some small way I can help to show this beauty,to all who will see.
April 2009:Having ruptured two tendons in my left knee,my walks along the Roding Valley,are being curtailed for the time being.

My Father was born and raised in Chigwell Row, My Grandfather is buried there. I have so many memories of that area with my Dad that looking at the gallery has brought a lump to my throat - thank you so much for such beautiful pictures

Sitting here on a Sunday at midnight in St. Louis, as the dishwasher gurgles and pulses through its cycles, I have just had the privilege of visiting a virtual Roding Valley -- and a more atmospheric and sublime tour could not be found. I feel peaceful and full of joy, having seen such dawns and sunsets and bodies of water and animals and vegetation, all so beautifully composed in your lens. This is truly a gorgeous presentation of a place that I would love to see some day. I will go back and comment on individual pix, as there are some that take the breath away. Thank you Ian!
