Inle Lake, Myanmar (Folk Dancing) cover page.	Map of Myanmar with star indicating Inle Lake.	The folk dancing took place at the Paradise Inle Resort where I stayed.	The performers consisted of the hotel staff.
This folk dancer was also my waiter that night.	Bamboo pole dancing is a risky, but popular folk dance in Myanmar.	Perfect timing is eccential to avoid getting smashed ankles!	These women were getting ready to perform.
They made it look so easy!	They danced perfectly in unison, without any missteps.	The women did not seem nervous, despite the risk to their ankles.	Next, some women came out carrying shan woven baskets.
The drummer and musicians kept the beat going!	The basket women were getting into the beat!	These women were dressed like dragonflies!	The dragonfly lady spreads her wings!

The dragonfly ladies wore beautiful hats.	I think this was supposed to be a horse, but don't hold me to it.	This friendly creature was hamming it up to get a lot of laughs.	Wrapping up the act with an ad for the Paradise Hotel.
