Your exquisite sense of design serves you well here, Carol. By layering the image with rhythmically repeating shapes, you give the illusion of depth, and symbolize the authoritarian nature of government here starting here with the French colony and continuing through the present Communist era. The color of the building is startling -- and emblematic of Old Hanoi.
