It is a truly incongruous look at a familiar subject. Everything in it works - the rhythmic flow of light and form, the delicate color, fine detail, and diagonal movement within a tight frame all add up to a photograph one can look at again and again and see something new every time. Extremely expressive -- it goes far beyond just another pretty flower picture to say much about the nature of nature itself.
