This is an amazing image!! Not only is the shadow captivating but the reflection of the water is also wonder....adds to the beauty of the isolation!!

Thanks Phil, for that flattering comment! I was originally drawn to the shadow on the deck first and thought it looked a little like an airplane ready for takeoff into yonder.

Beautiful image, Carol -- a study in reflections, giving us two pathways -- a pathway to nowhere, as you say, and also a pathway through the sea itself. Quite an amazing image.
