Lovely. Cities are your oeuvre. "VV"

"Last ride"....your title portends a feeling of doom. While the palm trees give this image a sense of place, the outstretched arms, the black and white starkness, the chaos of lines, the descending darkness and the downward direction of the cars further this sense of foreboding created by your title.
A great image, Carol.....certainly stimulates the imagination.

Carol this is absolutely tremendous! I think its one of the best silhouette shots I've ever seen and certainly one of the most different. It conveys a great sense of fun and action. ~BV~

This image is a perfect metaphor for the financial situation in California itself, at least as perceived by a non-Californian. The abstracted people are waving their arms in anticipation of having the rug yanked out from under them amidst a grove of palm trees seem oblivious to the real roller coast ride that may await them. Note that they are on the downward slope, as well, the moment before the bottom drops out. I think this image would make a wonderful illustration for an article on what Californians may be facing in terms of the local economy.

I love the way the palm trees place us in California - this image seems the epitome of the California Dream - in a film noir spirit.

I Like how the sky is dim that creates a special atmosphere with all these silouettes
