Peralta Trail Astronomical Observatory

Superstition Mountain Astronomical LeagueŽ is collaborating with the Peralta Trail Elementary School (Apache Junction Unified School District) on the development of an astronomical observatory. Groundbreaking is anticipated for the Fall of 2009. The initial telescope (a Celestron CPC1100) was acquired for the observatory, thanks to a grant from SRP.

That is so wonderful!!! SRP continues to be my favorite company. What blessing that scope is going to be to so many kids and area astronomers alike. Many of us would never have the opportunity to view the sky through such a nice instrument otherwise. I will look forward to getting a peak through it.
