43.62 - Split Rock Lighthouse: "Castle Danger", Pre-Dawn Sept. 28th

A blustery early dawn.

There is a village south of Split Rock Lighthouse called Castle Danger.
I thought this image was an apt icon for that title. The lighthouse was commissioned
following a dreadful 1905 storm that caused many shipwrecks, so while no one seems
to know where the name Castle Danger came from, it seems appropriate for this moody coastline.

I just wanted to comment on your photographs. They are some of the best shots I have seen of the lighthouse. They showcase the natural environment as well as the lighthouse. I am the manager at Split Rock Lighthouse so am very familar with the setting.
