56.1 - Big Manitou Falls, 165 Feet Tall

Pattison State Park, Superior, Wisconsin

Big Manitou Falls is downstream from Little Manitou Falls, and is the waterfall
that most visitors see, since it's found across the road from the main park area
with the swimming beach and picnic grounds at Interfalls Lake.

At 165 feet high, it's hard to photograph it and show its size. When people are
in the picture, you don't notice them. It's a very steep canyon.

Shown here on a foggy day in April when the snow-melt water was high.

That's a beautiful point of view and the fog is adding a special mood.
