A favorite Silver Bay cove. In fact,
if we could have any place on the North Shore,
this would be it.
Here we have another classic Lake Superior scene,
on an abandoned (but definitely private) property,
with an old fish house that no doubt
could tell some tales of years gone by.
We've grown to love everything Silver Bay has
to offer in its beaches, and most folks who travel up the
North Shore don't even know about it.
But I suppose it's being preserved this way,
and that's okay.
Post Script:
Since previous writing, people are now finding this beach.
There is now a billboard up on the highway
so that Black Beach is being visited much more, and the
land leading to this view has been bulldozed for construction.
This image was again published, this time as a vertical,
for the cover of the June 2017 issue of Lake Superior Magazine.
