3M ScopeDome on a deck

The deck is 4.7m X 4.7m, allowing for easy dome entry and exit, no matter where the dome door is located as the structure rotates. The deck is
elevated 0.8m off the ground and made of treated pine framing with Merbau decking boards with 3mm gaps between them. The floor inside is not
sealed, this allows for good ventilation and airflow, to keep the inside and outside temperatures more stable and a layer of 90%UV shade cloth
is installed under the decking boards to act as an insect barrier without affecting this airflow. The structure is supported and anchored by
four strong 100mm galvanised steel RHS corner posts, each sunk deep and concreted into the rocky ground, plus six pine inner support posts,
which collectively provide high rigidity and wind resistance, plus the dome itself is rated to 180km/hr winds, so, it ain't blow'in away!
