SH2-312 The Great Comet in Pyxis

Located in the constellation of Pyxis and resembling one of the great comets of the 19th century, especially

SH2-312 is part of a faint but enormous bubble of H-alpha that includes the more famous and brighter Vela SNR/Gum

Hey Sakib...do you like planetary nebulae or something..?? LOL :-)
Yeah, the whole running dinosaur shape of this feature would have required an 8 panel mozaic with my gear, to fit it all in...so I just went for the head and neck ;-)

This is nice but I'm so sad it doesn't include Abell 29. :-(

There's another area very close to this around the planetary nebula PN G255.8+10.9 that would make an equally amazing image!
