The top square shows the location of SH2-312 within the wealth of Milky Way Hydrogen-Alpha clouds, centred on Vela.
The bright pink and yellow mass below it, is the mammoth Vela Supernova and Gum nebulae complex.
The two bright white objects on the left side of the frame are the Great Carina and Running Chicken Nebulae.
While at the bottom left of the frame we can see the Large Magellanic Cloud with its many Hydrogen Alpha Nebulae
