Extremely faint features, first identified by E. Iodice et al, using deep images taken with the
2.6m Optical Survey telescope at Cerro Paranal Chile and announced in a paper only as recently
as 2017, have all been picked up in my (moderately stretched) data. Unbelievably, features fainter than
30 mag/squ arc sec (labelled L9 above), can be identified in my data, which is about 2000X fainter
than the central regions of the galaxy, which is all rather astounding really!
