M6 The Butterfly Cluster

This wonderful vista in Scorpius, features the beautiful open star cluster M6, also known as The Butterfly Cluster,
rising like a Pheonix from the flames of the galaxy and fluttering above the back drop of the distant golden star
clouds of our Milky Way. The circular red emission nebula LBN1117 completes the scene.
