The new line of filters is excellent, Apsrt from halos around brighter stars (anything brighter than about mag6) I had a real problem with out of field stars causing reflection rays but since using the new low reflection filters I haven't seen a single one..?
Cheers

Any images with these low reflections filters yet?
Thanks

Mike, Gerd,
Thanks for the update, I really appreciate the help! I would like to get a relatively wide bandpass set of Ha, S and OIII filters as I am using an F/3 Epsilon astrograph. I think I am loosing a lot of transmission with my current 7nm Baader Ha filter (although it is impossible to say because no manufacturer publishes this information for fast optical systems on their current filter designs) . Distributors in the US I contacted about the Astronomiks filters recommended against them due to the high propensity for reflections with fast systems.
Gerd, Dave Erikson strongly recommended your products and he says to say hi!--another guy who helped me get started! I will contact you directly in the near future regarding the new filters.
Thanks
Rick

Hi Rick,
I´m Gerd from Astronomik. We do have re-designed all of our filters to minimize any reflections, halos or things like that. Currently we are MUCH better than filters from the most other well known manufacturers.
Currently we have no information about this on our website, as everything is still very new.
To be precise: We were waitng for images from Mike to see how satisfied he is :-)
We will add detailed information about the new low reflection filters to our website soon. (I´m working on the pages...)
If you have any more questios, please feel free to contact me via gerd (-> AT <-) gerdneumann.net
Yours

Very pretty filter set! Hmm, I don't see anything about the Astronomik narrow band filters now being "low reflection" on the Astronomik web site. Do you have a reference on this, when did they start making this new series of filters? Have you compared the Ha filter to other Ha filters yet?
Thanks
Rick
