Coming down the hall from the steps going out, again there are apartments on each side by the front door.

My dog, Tracy, had to go to the bathroom real bad, so I hurried and attached the metal leash to her leather collar to take her out.
To my surprise someone was coming in up the stairs to the second door. All of a sudden Tracy leaps and lunges forward.

The man took out a knife and threatened to use it on Tracy. I am holding Tracy at bay while she was snarling and up on her hind legs. I didn't take my eye off the guy.
But I took the leash off and held Tracy by the collar and told him he'd have two of us to deal with.

For about 5 seconds the man looked at both us then decided to put the knife away. This happened in 1971.
