Calming Waters

by

Slow moving water has always given me a feeling of peacefulness and calming.
I love the magical sound of it as it runs softly over the pebbles.

My goodness! Even as this picture was revealing itself bit by bit in my browser, I knew I was in for a treat. Magnificent from top to bottom.
Best wishes
Glyn

I knew this was a shot of yours Art, even before I saw the name. ; ) This is an absolutely wonderful image. I can almost hear the water too, and it is very soothing. I think because it harmonizes with our basic nature, which is about 80-85% water right? Lora

Thanks Kathy and Ruth for your much appreciated comments! Ruth, your perception of this image is interesting. I suppose I perceive the image as calming not only for the reasons mentioned in my caption but because the old water wheel reminds me of years gone by, when life was much less hectic. Glad you both liked the image, thanks again for commenting.

So much to love in this! For me, I wouldn't say this is calming...maybe more toward energizing!

I'm with you........ nothing is more calming for me than water.... especially the ocean, but certainly water as it gently runs downstream over rocks and through falls..... this photo is a wonderful depiction of that kind of calm. I can almost hear the sound of the water as it runs off of the water wheel. I like the processing technique you have applied.
