Whether or not he hits the ball this portrait of a baseball player hits a home run. I wish I could get my students to concentrate this hard, enjoy what they are doing this much, and study with such fierce intensity. The lighting is unusual but striking and effective. The eyes are so huge, I believe I can see that baseball coming in. The size of his helmet makes us a little tenderhearted towards this future slugger, a feeling that is perhaps part of the photographer's intent. Great work Norbert, and directly on topic.
