Thank you for you kind words John. This shot was taken from a sail boat during an Atlantic crossing. I was taking photos of this amazing sunset when I spotted this dolphin jumping at my left and approaching the sun. I took few quick shots of him arriving and then aimed to the sun, full of adrenalin, waiting for the shot of my life... Unfortunately, this guy must have had a weired sense of humor. He took a long dive and popped out again at my right, completely out of the frame. I had to use photoshop to put him back in place.
BTW, live view would hardly be possible in this case because shooting at 400mm from a boat rocking up and down, you'd prefer an OVF pushed firmly against your face for some camera stabilization.

Fish are jumping and the cotton is high in those clouds. Live view would have been useful for this shot, then you wouldn't have needed to look directly at the sun through the viewfinder. If you didn't post process the fish in, it's an incredible catch, and even if you did, it's masterful. The gorgeous white orb, the crimson sky, the cloud shapes and the reflections in the water will give this image lasting interest.
