Thanks for the great coments, John. This *is* Gander, Newfoundland. It's on what used to be Gander Bay Road (now McGee Road). My bro-in-law's house is behind the bunch of scraggly spruce to the right.

This isn't Gander, Newfoundland, because there would have to be a few more houses. Or the title could mean that we're supposed to "take a gander", have a good look. But I have a feeling that there's a male member of a goose family peeking out from behind some grass in this photo. Whatever the meaning of the title, this is the kind of place that I like to be in the summertime. Thanks for your three submissions to get the gallery well under way, Jerry.
