This image has a really pleasant balance of colours, from the bright yellow flower and the light green stalks to the dark green, almost black water, and the more neutral shades of the leaves. I love that one pale mauve leaf. It commands almost as much attention as the blossom. There's also a variety of shapes, textures and intensities of light here that make this one sweet. I love to be beside the water in the summertime.
