I like it. Can't say what it is, except that looking at the "fronds" on the pine tree blowing in the wind, I can picture the photographer standing in the wind waiting for just the right moment. Laney
I really like this photo... and your choice to go b/w was a good one. The only thing I would have done differently would not be to center the tree... but to allow just slightly more background to be seen and have the tree off center -- but hey, that's just me!
