Thanks, Tyler! Too bad you missed the birds, although you're right, the lens probably wouldn't have been long enough for a detail bird shot. This shot is great, though :-)

Thanks for the comments. Katherine, I updated the date. I did climb up there, but no bird shots. The 120mm R1 lens isn't really sufficient for such things. While I was down taking this shot, I apparently missed a flock of smaller birds chase an eagle away.

Beautiful image - I love the HDR effect, and the shadow detail and color in the wood! Did you climb up there and get some bird shots?
