OK, a compromise title... thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions.

A name? "Alone Together" That title screams out at me.

I love this shot. One of my favorites. There are so many things in motion in this shot: birds, water, the man and his dog. Great sepia tones. Excellent - Shutter

Photographer's comment. I was photographing something else when this older man and this very well-behaved dog started to walk across the wet sand. I turned and grabbed 3 shots as they walked into the sun. I had several cropping options and decided on this one. It tells the story, but I don't know what the story is. In all photos the man is hunched over. That's why it doesn't have a title. It looks so sad that all kinds of story lines come to mind. About the time I was returning to my car the man and his dog reappeared.

I'll be glad to give it a title...any suggestions? I was going to call it A man and his dog, Faithful Companions, and someone suggested Steps Suspended. Any ideas? I would like to give it a title by tomorrow.

excellent composing to have the gentleman's head break the line of the background.

very nice shot. I like the silhouettes, but why so sad?
