I like the shot because it is SO organic, gooey, lifelike, everything the moon is not!
I don't mind the shadow in the foreground. But I am certainly curious what the white stuff is ... and is that a date? How did you get the gloss? And how many tries did it take to catch the moment of impact like that? Erichocinc

Thanks for the comment. The shadow was intentional. I was trying to create a moon-like crater with shadows. In the picture above this one, the shadow picked up an interesting reflection. Jeff
