Jerry, I like the new ones much better. It is really tricky with such an image that contains so much detail. The resolution simply does not allow to show all and only a big print would do it, where not much sharpening would be required. Anyway, congrats for the great capture. /frank

Thanks, Katherine and Frank.
No HDR at all on these, Frank, but I do use lowest in-camera contrast and sharpness settings, which gives me more control in post. I usually do apply USM to the reduced image, but I hate oversharpened images, so tend to maybe undersharpen. Also, seems PBase images often do look a bit oversharpened if I sharpen fully. I did apply some additional sharpening to both images after your comment. Thanks!

Jerry, these are really great colors! Is it any kind of HDR work?
One thing that I would like to mention: I think you should try a little bit of sharpening after the resizing or an USM. When I produce the web versions I normally go with an USM 80% at 0.6 radius. Right now the limitation of the gallery is doing injustice to your image IMHO. Cheers,
Frank

Very pretty scene - I love the fall colors against the blue sky!
