Thanks for the comments, folks. Sky - yes, an unusual pose and clearly the preferred one of this critter -- at least during this session. Mike - I've never seen a mantis with his 'antlers' in this position before. What a handsome guy and he's got character. An amazing shot!

I'm not scared, so funny and interesting. Well captured and love the diagonal composition. I haven't seen a mantis in years around here, they are so intriguing. Lora
