Thanks folks for the comments. John, I'm very pleased that you like this, I know it's not nature in its full glory but this dead sunflower drowning in a bowl of water really intrigued me for the variety of colors in the scene. At full size, the textures are unreal. Frank: ahhh, did you catch me uploading the vertical shot? Yes, I rotated it in photoshop and reuploaded it, thinking it complemets the 'summer ruin' shot a little better this way. I'm still unsure as to which orientation looks better but since the challenge is almost up I'll leave it as-is and see what happens. Thanks for the thought, I'm pretty sure that I'll keep my archived version in its original orientation (vertical). Cheers! :)
