Helen, it looks like the angle for photographing this beautiful structure couldn't have been better chosen! Loved it!

This is a great image. I didn't get a good shot of this Memorial when visiting the area last month but did get a couple of the Capitol http://www.pbase.com/image/84353333.

Thanks, Sky, for the kind words. I guess this is sort of the traditional photo of the memorial, but even so it's still a stunning structure. My husband and I were laughing over the fact that we had come here one night in like 1984, when it was literally freezing, because I wanted to take pictures; I guess some things never change, LOL. And I originally had set out to do the Capitolhttp://www.pbase.com/helenpb/image/86163385 but was so entranced by the Jefferson, that I decided to stick with it. Helen

Helen, you do some amazing things behind the lens - and this excellent photo is no exception. It appears that the person posing at the bottom of the steps has vacated the wheelchair to pose for a photo. This adds even more meaning to this awesome shot for me - the 'real' factor.
