This is the Galatasaray wheelchair basketball team, who live at the hotel I stay at when working in Istanbul. I got to know one of them quite well and interviewed him for an article in my newspaper http://www.todayszaman.com/tz-web/detaylar.do?load=detay&link=116109 for which I took this picture. (Sorry about the overexposure; that always seems to happen to me when I attempt things like this for publication.) But I was so impressed at how they have managed to turn their disabilities into something positive, especially in a country like Turkey, where the physically challenged have a very hard time of it. They won the Turkey championship right after this photograph was taken.
