that is white egg on white paper. The only source of light is small black light to the viewers right. since the egg is not reflecting black light as well as paper we have that semi-negative effect. The only change to the original jpeg is the frame

Dee, thanks! I added that white frame in a hope to enhance a little that plain image. I think it works (at least for me :) ).
"Black light" is a nice toy, i like to play with it once in while. The light from it reflects differmntly from various objects and that creates nice and unusual effects once in a while.
Yes, i am planning to try to few more different light source. Thank you and Mark for great idea. I really like it.
I didn't know "black light" gave off a blue light! It must be fun to have one of these handy. You got excellent detail in the shell of the egg and the shadow is nice too. I'm not sure I like the white inset box that close to the egg, but that's a personal "don't fence me in" thing I have, so please take that with a grain of salt so to speak. Are you planning to take some different angles with different shadows? --Dee
