No special technique...just trial-and-error shooting until I got one I liked.
Using a tripod and remote allows me to choose any f-stop I want...and to compose better.

I know it's an "example image but: I love the color combination in this image Mike! My only question would be... why shot at such an acute angle ? Just curious. Mark J
