Your images never cease to amaze me!! This is just incredible!!!! Simplicity at its very best.

Exquisite. The goose's rippled reflection makes it for me.

Thanks for the comments everyone :-) John and Pearl, to answer your questions, I took about 40 shots of the pond. I didn't plan the composition, I just figured the pond looks good in the fog, and a background receding into fog fits the theme, so I snapped away and hoped to get something good. I'm surprised I could get close to the pond - I haven't been able to for about a year, but now a lot of overgrown grasses have been cut down.

Cannot add anything to the comments than another "WOW, amazing!!!"

Aside from the stunning composition and great adherence to the theme...I love the barely visible horizon line perfectly placed at 2/3 the way up the picture. Also the detail on the goose is perfect, along with its sideways glance. How many pics to get this????????? John

AT the sake of being redundant, WOW WOW WOW. An absolute knockout. Your work is awesome, Katherine. Were you aiming for this shot or did it happen upon you?

What a stunning minimalist image, Katherine. I absolutely LOVE it!
What an example of not needing to fill the frame and get feather detail in a bird shot to have a successful image!

A wonderful composition, Katherine. I really like just the hint of the rippled water - if one looks closely enough!

What a knockout of a shot!
