It's a large glass cylinder with colored bits of glass glued to the outside (meant to stand upright and hold a candle). Here it's laying on its side and the camera is looking through its length to a cut tin lantern on the other side.
Carmen, I love the way shadow and light dapple the inside of this "tunnel"...the patterned cover distributing the bright light and shadows really captures my eye here. The overall effect is very abstract and moody...and I keep wondering exactly what it is that I'm viewing. Very nice play of light and shadow, Carmen...could you please tell me what this thing is?
