I've rarely seen a "shadow self portrait" that is this good. The colors of the scenery are good too. And yeah, now that I think about it, it does look a little like a murder scene :) I think the pose of the shadow man enhances that feeling (kinda like often seen in movies I've-come-for-you-with-my-axe pose :).

Great capture - I love the colors, and I agree with Fremiet that the shadow looks ominous and the branch looks like a dead body!

well as seems to have been said on this one... really cool shot. The shadow is just perfect, like having a life on its own... and these small spots of green moss on the tree contributes to make the colors so good.

Awesome... Hardly get color so beautiful like this in my V3...

Excellent shot!

Frank: The approaching shadow is ominous and sets the tone for the whole pic. It plays with my mind enough to imagine that the dead branch to the lower left of the trunk is a dead body. Fascinating.....John

Carmen, it is really the camera around my neck and self timer that enabled me. Thank you and Mike for the kind comments. Cheers, Frank

Frank, I really like the natural setting, colors, and effective lighting here. Perfect placement of your shadow on the tree...very good contrast. Well taken and eye-catching...good idea. MFC

Oh, I like this... I find it almost a little spooky for some reason, but very cool and interesting. Hands free - tripod? Or did you set it on the timer and just hang the camera around your neck?
