1st: Which Came First?
(take three)

The age old question...
Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

This shot combines three photos. The "take two" photo was
converted to B&W, and the egg was darkened some to provide
a slight sense of mystery & a little different contrast.
The chick breaking thru the egg was photographed from a
demonstration piece on hatching and placed onto the egg in PS.
The young chicken was photographed separately and also added.
The result still begs the universal question about the
very beginnings of life...
You'll have to ponder a bit before reaching a final answer...:)

Fantastic entry Mike! The hen peeking from the top of the frame, the egg, the feather, black background... everything is right where it belongs. I knew it was you since I first laid eyes on that image!

I knew it!! I was waiting for your third entry, suspected it was going to culminate all of the previous concepts into one picture... and the finale is superb! Everything's pieced together nicely here, Mike, a good study! :)

Fantastic Mike, yet another great work of art. Just keeps getting better and better, the chicken overlooking the egg is a perfect addition.

Definitely the best of the three, Mike. I like them all, but this one has a "completeness" about it, somehow...

I think this series gets better as it goes MFC (which is so often the case) When I first cast eyes on #1 I thought it could only be you to come up with such a simple and elegant take on the theme. VERY cool to see the post processing placement choices. Excelent work, my friend. John
