Peek-a-boo

I know, it's a *dog* picture, but I can never take anything I like of my dog, Tilki, mainly because she seems to have an aversion to cameras and will never stay still or look at me. This one, however, really captures her personality. I don't know if it's one of my best, but it certainly is one of my favorite images from 2006.

Thank you all for the comments! Tilki is indeed a real charmer with one of the most unique personalities I've ever seen in a dog. Deb, she is getting used to Washington now, but as she was born in Turkey and had only lived there and in Okinawa, where relatively speaking there aren't all that many dogs, Capitol Hill was a real shock to her. Almost everybody on the Hill has a dog and takes it to Lincoln Park, sort of a doggy heaven, so the first time Tilki went there and was confronted with 50 or so dogs all at once, it was a bit overwhelming (like there were more dogs in the world than just her :-)). But now she seems to have adjusted, become socialized and actually likes going to the park to meet new doggie friends. Helen
