I find myself more drawn to this each time I pass. Another pictures with colored glass beads probably wouldn't have moved me. But here, the starkness of the black, unrelieved by any ornamentation save for a silver clasp, invites contemplation of the forms, texture, and, finally, it's function as mourning symbol.
