Thanks for the nice comments, everyone! As far as getting the cat "to pose" --- the way this picture worked was to catch Pixel after a large meal, while he's mellow, and have the camera sit right in front of his face for a short while until it's no longer a novelty... Still, cats will be cats and lots of luck is needed! 8-)

Incredible detail! Hoping I can get some great shots like that of my cats, but I think they're getting a little tired of me trying to get them to pose... They have that look in their eyes.
