Centennial Bridge

Panama

This bridge opened in August 2004. It crosses the Gaillard Cut of the Panama Canal and connects North and South America. It was built to relieve the crowding on the Bridge of The Americas.

This is an excellent shot. Had you not mentioned that this was shot in colour I wouldn't have noticed that the column is indeed in colour!

Love the composition! Great shot, Denise. And I agree to Pearl that this is perfectly suited for b/w, but on this point I might be known as a b/w fanatic ;-) .

Thanks, Pearl. The funny part is.......I shot it in color, this is what I got!!!! But I agree the B&W look is right for this!!!
