My family by jrdu

Just a note on why everyone hates it: I made an 8 x 10 and gave it to my dad but his second wife couldn't find a place to display it because every space is taken with shots of her children and grandchildren. When I gave it to my kids, they weren't thrilled to have a picture of their stepgrandma. Stepfamilies are hard.

This image reminds me of about a dozen family photos that my father took of us, on a sunny day, at the park, standing in front of the family car. To me it's one of those 'classic' setups that bring back a lot of memories. It is a nice shot filled with honestly warm smiles!

It sounds like you need a picture of both families combined :-)
Nice looking group.
