Nightime, St Michaels & All Saints *
by OurColin

Beetham - Cumbria/Westmorland - England

Whilst looking through the viewfinder, taking this pic, I thought I saw 'something' move just to the left of the three headstones by the seat. I looked up and was relieved to see it was just the vicar (alive !) walking down the path towards me.
What was he doing there at that time of night ? he didn't have a camera !!! :-)

Thanks Bottles and Gaurav for the comments, the colour is slighly more 'golden orange' than it actually was which makes it appear warmer than it actually was too.
(Probably around -6 at the time) I'll go back, try it again and experiment with the White Balance.
Gaurav, this is OK here thanks it was just after looking at the two pics I became more indecisive as to which I preferred so put the different angle pic in Eligible to see if there would be any feedback.
Thanks again.

BTW - Colin - did you mean for this to go in eligible? ~ gaurav

LOL - nighttime should be the exclusive province for us photogs eh? :). Again a strong composition and nice contrast Colin. *My personal preference for less yellow and red (WB always seems to have a problem with strong incandescent lighting) apply but the the colors here do a good job too! ~ gaurav

Wow, that's beautiful! I love those yellow and gold colors and the way they stand out against the black background. Your frame is very attractive as well. Nice job!
