Those truly are gorgeous firework captures. I've tried to get interesting fireworks shots so many times, but I've never thought of using such a small aperature and going for fineness and detail! The small aperature avoids the blowout most firework captures usually get - and you freed yourself from the typical approach of trying to find a foreground subject to lend interest - the framing is enough to make it a beautiful shot.

Brilliant and beautiful. Great framing as well.

One of the best fireworks shots I've seen, Karen. Technically it's perfect - just enough time to capture full bursts from the centre to the extremities, and sharp as a tack with no overexposure, thanks to the f/8 setting. I've been trying to avoid f/8 because of the possibility of softer resolution, but this shot sure proves otherwise. That V1 can sure perform at any f-stop, it seems. Nice crop and composition, too.

Karen, this is a fantastic firework image. I like how the streaks of light clearly comes from those single points of lights. Nicely cropped and presented.

"Clean" is the word, Karen, and it makes this really striking. Detailed, uncluttered, and definitely not your run-of-the-mill fireworks capture! - Mike
