Good capture, and I quite like the burst of light in the background as well. Helen

Great visual idea...the heavy contrast of black background and colored highlights standing against it makes for a very interesting shot to look at. And the path of the fire really makes a great pattern.

Thanks for the nice comments !
The interesting "fireworks" on the background is just a palm tree shaped advertisement banner of a nearby restaurnat :-) I shot it from such angle to include it in the photo.
The action itself took place in a hotel pub. I setup my 828 on a table tripod and shot the show across the pool. while having my pizza :-)

Wonderful sense of movement you've captured here, Madcat. Very interesting image.

Nice shot, MadCat...beautiful fire design and interesting burst in the background. Your exposure provides very good contrast but also permits a view of the "artist-in-action". Neat too how the torch pots anchor the scene and reflect off the flooring. MFC

Madcat - thats a wonderful image - i really like how you have captured the pyrotechnics and the fireworks (??) in the background - very nicely done! ~gk
