12 JAN 06 Bev Brink

tree-as-perch
by Bev Brink

northern Indiana

I knew we had a heron nearby, but previously had only seen it in flight.
Today, it seemed almost oblivious to my presence, and I am afraid it's because
it was so intent on fishing. I observed it for over an hour, and it caught no fish.
Will have to talk to the park rangers to see if we can feed it.

Bev, this image is so serene. You captured it beautifully. The reflections are wonderful.

Nice color fade gold to blue - very calm - this shot really makes you feel like I was there! It looks like my neck of the woods / Northern California / looks like right now. Lot's of dead weeds, a hint of new grass, just waiting for the wild flowers! These guy's aren't that easy to get close too either - pretty shy. Keep up the good work.
