Paperweight
by Jerry Curtis

The centre of a spherical blown glass paperweight. This is one of my favourite macro subjects, but, since I don't yet have a macro lens for my V1 (Canon 250D on the way from Santa), I used a cheap large magnifier in front of the lens in this case. Due to the deep, 3D character of this pattern, only a small slice if the pattern near the centre is in sharp focus.

Some of you may have seen an image of mine similar to this before, but this is a new image with a different set-up.

You see...

this is the last in the row and .. well it could be the first. Outstanding. What a gigantic artwork you all have set up with this series.

Beautiful image, Jerry -- great color, light and clarity. And an amazing piece of glass, I'm sure! Helen

Very cool abstract macro - I love the green color and the bubbles!
