Team USA going for gold
by Ted.Sz

Eastern Creek, NSW, Australia

The race drivers are a special kind of people, they are going for gold each and every time.
This shot was taken at the 4th round of World Championships at Eastern Creek, Australia.
They may have not won but they sure put their harts into it.

Excellent shot Ted.

Gaurav, a friend of mine works for Wheels magazine here in Sydney. He is their retoucher and he made the same comment. Apparently this is what they do too to almost all moving pictures. He gave me some pointers, I'll see if I can re-edit.

Ted - this is a really beautiful and eye catching shot but I must be honest - the stationary wheel spokes create a dissonance for me because everything else is screaming speed and motion. Maybe a little blurring?

Thank you all. I must admit this is probably the hardest shot I've ever taken. These cars come at some real speed, and with the release delay on my camera it is only a calculated result - you cannot realy aim. Took me good few minutes to figure out the delay and a technique to capture them. I really appreciate your positive comments

Very cool shot - nice colors and your great panning job really shows the speed!

Great pan, Ted! Your image makes me feel as if I were there in person. Helen
