I agree with you about toning it down by burning ..but the Image itself was so burnt at that point ...and generally I dont Photoshop images meant for challenges. I try to keep them as original as I can . Roberta Thnaks a lot for sharing your ideas we all love each others work and thats why we are here. I will upload other pictures in the Talk forum for you valuable comments.(They mean a lot to me )

I struggled with whether to mention it or not because it does balance the composition and the corner of the stone almosts points the eye into the picture. The brightness of the stone does command a lot of attention though and the focal point is clearly the traveler so I would tone it down by trying a slight burn in on the stone. Anyway, there is no right or wrong in this... just playing with ideas! I appreciate the discussion as we share our ideas. It is a special image that really holds the viewer's attention.

Marcus , you read my mind ..Thats exactly why I kept the stone in the fore ground while cropping it I found it as the main element in balancing the whole picture...( I have a series of this picture with different perspectives,but I liked this best )

This is really nice. Roberta, not to disagree, because I am a HUGE fan of your work, but the stone block in the foreground works for me... Adds another layer of depth and brightens it up a bit... I looked at it cropped and without the block it seemed to dark and lost something for me... maybe some balance? I like this one a lot. Good work!

This is really great especially with the figure walking in the distance. The stone in the foreground is grabbing my attention. I think I would crop a bit off the right and either burn in or clone out the stone in the lower right. Just a thought. Love the bike, textured wall, open archway and sunlight streaming in.
